Are You a Woman Over 40?
You've been working very hard these past years. You have endured the largest
part of your other hours taking care of your kids but now their undertakings are
too active to fit you in.
The cute little black number you bought for the party just doesn't show you off
or fit the same. And the new good lookin' hire at your office just called you mam.
You are a woman over 40 and feeling used up. Here are some ideas to stimulate
your self esteem:
1. Be a Little SelfishTo keep it all simple, just do more to satisfy yourself. Many women are born
nurturers. We spend the most of our time doing things for other people, whether
it be our kids, spouses, or employers. Our time is used making other people feel
happier, more secure, and appreciated.
While giving to other people is proper, when something that makes you feel
complete is missing from your life, the end result is that you feel bitter,
deflated and old.
Plan time in the second half of your life to find out what makes you feel
complete and satisfied. Investigate new hobbies, interests, and careers.
Stop living your life on empty and watch yourself feel youthful instantly.
2. Adjust Your Attitude
Frequently, as women age, they feel like they're "getting old". They preoccupy
themselves because they can't get into those LeesTM that were so cute when they
were 30, or they start dressing like their mothers.
Other people may feel they cannot make any beneficial contributions at work
because their concepts are "old fashioned" or just feel that life is ancient
history for them. The reality is you are getting older but your thinking
doesn't have to make you appear like you are no longer alive.
While those jeans may not fit the physique you have now, new ones may make you
look super. Being older doesn't mean you are compelled to wear dresses down to
your ankles.
A knee length dress can make you sparkle and feel sexy and youthful.
And obsolete ideas can work just as well to solve new and up-to-date problems.
Contemplate the saying, "You are only as old as you feel".
3. Eat Well and Work Out
Good food and regular excercise are important habits for recapturing your youth.
Proper food helps maintain bone density, and keeps hair and skin looking their
best. Activity not only keeps the pounds off but improves muscle tone and
increases your energy level, making you look even youthful.
